What this test checks
Estimate how far a controller stick moves before the browser reports a stable response and compare directions and sticks.
InputAnalyzer processes test events locally and does not upload your raw inputs or result values.
How to run the test
Let the stick settle
Release the selected stick and wait for the centre marker to become stable before each direction.
Move slowly from centre
Push the stick in the requested direction as gradually as possible until movement is detected.
Complete all directions
Test up, right, down and left so the estimate can reveal directional differences.
How to read the result
Observed signals, not artificial certainty.
Small, even deadzone
Movement begins near the centre at a similar distance in each direction.
Large or uneven deadzone
A late response or a clear difference between directions can reduce fine control and deserves a repeat test.
What this test cannot prove
What the browser cannot see
- The estimate includes any filtering already applied by the controller, driver or browser.
- A game's own deadzone is separate and cannot be read from this page.
- Results are browser-based estimates, not a physical hardware diagnosis.

Frequently asked questions
Short answers before you test again
Is a lower deadzone always better?
Not necessarily. A very small deadzone improves fine response but can expose normal centre noise or drift.
Why does the estimate change between attempts?
Hand speed, the direction of approach and small centre changes affect the first stable movement detected. Use several slow attempts.
